Plant Summary

The bonsai crassula, Crassula sarcocaulis subsp. sarcocaulis, is a small evergreen succulent subshrub with a single trunk and branching crown, resembling a miniature tree. Its narrow fleshy leaves are light green. Clusters of tiny sweetly scented white or pink flowers appear in late summer. Used traditionally as an emetic. Thrives in containers indoors or out. Tolerates drought. Plant in well-drained soil and avoid overwatering. Propagate from stem cuttings which root readily.
