Plant Summary

Clivia gardenii, known as major garden’s clivia, bears graceful, pendulous orange flowers tipped in green. Though slow-growing, clumps may reach 60cm tall. Autumn flowering is followed by bright red berries. Used traditionally for snakebites and complications of childbirth . Sadly wild populations suffer from over-harvesting. Shade-loving and waterwise. Clivia gardenii is propagated by division or seed.
