The honey bell-bush, Freylinia lanceolata, is a large shrub or small tree with arching, weeping branches adorned with sweetly-scented yellow bell-shaped flowers. Blooming sporadically through the year, it thrives in moist areas and attracts butterflies. Fast growing if well watered, it can be pruned into a single-stemmed tree. Wind and frost hardy, propagate from seeds or cuttings. Plant streamside, in a large shrubbery, or towards the back of an informal garden border. Attracts bees as pollinators.
