Leucadendron strobilinum, also known as Peninsula conebush, is a striking shrub perfect for a fynbos garden. It is a large, single-stemmed plant with dark green oval leaves and red-tipped recurved leaf tips. The plant produces ovoid, hairless fruiting cones containing flat, winged seeds and flowers from September to October. Thrives on damp, rocky slopes it can be grown from seed or cuttings.
