Plant Summary

Leysera gnaphalodes, known as yellow daisy tea, is a perennial aromatic shrublet with vibrant yellow flowers. Standing at one meter, it features narrow, aromatic leaves and solitary lemon-yellow flower-heads on slender stalks. Flowering mainly in spring, it adapts well to dry regions on sandy slopes and flats. Used for a pleasant tea infusion, its leaves offer a sweetish taste. Also used traditionally to sooth coughs and sore throats, and easing congestion.
