Baking Trio

Think beyond chocolate when it comes to creating your baking delights. We have an array of local plants that also offer a celebration of flavour and make wonderful gifts for the baking enthusiast.

We have made getting going with indigenous baking easy with 3 of our favourite local herbs:

1. Cape mint – Think mint chocolate cakes and mint chocolate fondu. Need we say more?!
2. Rose-scented pelargonium – use her edible flowers to garnish your creations and her fragrant  leaves to flavour teas, jellies, ice cream, biscuits and jams.
3. Cape snowbush also know as Wild rosemary – enjoy in delicious savoury biscuits or scones. Or use to flavour any dish as a substitute for ordinary rosemary.
