Plant Summary

Dune buchu, Agathosma collina, is a mildly aromatic, hardy shrublet suitable for strandveld or coastal areas. It features bright yellow-green leaves and white flowers with petals 4.5 mm long. The plant is virtually immune to insect attacks due to its aromatic leaf glands. During the flowering season, bees can regularly be observed visiting the plants. Agathosma collina can be grown in gardens with full sun and well-drained soil, and it is best planted between autumn and winter. Regular watering and mulching are essential for the plant’s growth and maintenance.
