Gladiolus undulatus, also known as the ‘vleipypie’ (Afrikaans for “little marsh pipe”), is a captivating flowering plant native to the damp slopes and streambanks of the western and southwestern Cape. Reaching heights of up to 1.5 meters, with sword-shaped leaves and a tall stalk erupting in unique, whitish-cream flowers with interesting pink diamond markings on the lower petals.
