Agathosma cerefolium, also known as coast anise buchu, is a fragrant shrublet that grows up to 1.4 meters high and produces clusters of pink, mauve, or white flowers from August to January. It is well-suited for waterwise gardening and coastal gardens, and can be grown from seed or cuttings. Buchus thrive when densely planted, and should be spaced 20-30 cm apart. This plant prefers full sun and a well-drained soil, and is ideal for small and large gardens alike. While it has no cultural or medicinal uses, it is a beautiful addition to any garden.
